Clay Shaw is listed as being present at Maury Island on page 6 of "Majestic Project 5th Annual Report" document. According to the report, Crisman handed over some of the fragments to CIA Agent Shaw at the site, whilst others purported to be the remnants of the craft's nuclear propulsion unit were given to US Army Air Force investigators Davidson and Brown, whose B-25 crashed on the flight back to Washington, killing them both. That's why Crisman was the first person Shaw contacted after his arrest.
The date of 1972-75 that you give for the origin of Sinister Forces interests me because that is exactly when I came up with a theory of historical cycles I continue to work on to this day. Synchronicities all the way down, I guess.
